Get To Know Dr. Namana Rao

Dr. Namana Rao is a compassionate and highly skilled dentist dedicated to providing comprehensive dental care in a judgment- free environment. With both a strong academic background and continued interest in staying up to date with the latest dental technological advancements, Dr. Rao brings a modern approach to oral health. She always provides patient- centered care revolving around mutual trust, communication, and quality of care.

Proudly from Kansas City, Dr. Rao attended the University of Missouri- Kansas City for undergrad and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Psychology. Here, she was awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Honors Award. Then, she went to the University of Missouri- Kansas City for dental school and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).

Dr. Rao participated in numerous community outreach events during this time and was able to gain experience in all aspects of general dentistry. Dr. Rao prides herself in being a lifelong learner. She is dedicated to continuing education and learning about the latest research and technology that encompasses the dental world. Dr. Rao is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Diego Dental Society, and the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity.

In her free time, Dr. Rao enjoys all that beautiful San Diego has to offer! She frequently goes on hikes, spends many weekends at various beaches along the coast, does Indian classical dance (Bharatanatyam), plays pickleball and practices yoga. Dr. Rao looks forward to serving you and your loved ones!

As you walk into our office, you’ll be greeted by the smiling faces of our friendly team and the modern amenities of our cozy office. We’ll answer any insurance or financing questions you may have to make your appointment as seamless as possible.

After a thorough cleaning by one of our hygienists, you will meet with Dr. Rao and receive a comprehensive oral exam, complete with any necessary x-rays and intraoral scans. We spend extra time to address your concerns and discuss the state of your dental health before outlining a unique treatment plan. Before leaving, we can also schedule any future visits.

Our Modern Technology and Amenities

Our office is equipped with the latest dental technology because we believe our patients deserve the best care possible. We use digital panoramic and external bitewing equipment that provides enhanced imaging, uses less radiation, and is more comfortable for patients. We also use a new FDA-approved decay detection camera for cavities without the need for radiation.

Our space was designed with your comfort in mind. With TVs in the waiting room and operatories, Netflix, a beverage station, headphones, and warm towels, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Learn How We Give Back

Dr. Redgate dedicates her time to community outreach and direct service programs. With a focus on supporting the San Diego community and addressing food insecurity, she advocates and engages in community partner outreach, sports sponsorships, and volunteering.

Rady's Children's Hospital

As part of her involvement with the Junior League, Dr. Redgate has volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Rady's Children's Hospital, offering housing and care to families with sick children.

PATH Connections Housing

Additionally, she contributed to PATH Connections Housing, assisting in the preparation of dinner for 130 residents of the interim shelter. Her efforts extend a helping hand to those in need, making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families facing challenging circumstances.
